GRC - Session #9 - Shawn Sines Choosing the right platform is not the most difficult part of implementing a GRC platform. First, you have to define what you need and then you have to evaluate the contenders to see if any are a good corporate fit. This presentation outlines a few pitfalls and offers some suggestions for smoothing over the GRC tool evaluation and selection process. Organizations large and small can leverage these tips to stage evaluations of the leaders and niche players in the Information Security Governance space.

Bio: Shawn Sines is a former US Marine who has nearly two decades of experience in Information Security. His career industries include public & higher education, media and journalism, Information Security consulting and incident response practice development. In his current role as Sr. Information Security Analyst for a global consumer product company, Shawn manages IT GRC and Information Security metrics activities for the company's Business Transformation Information Security Strategy Team. Shawn currently maintains an Access Data Certified Examiner (ACE) qualification and was a certified FAIR Risk Analyst, he also recently passed his CISSP Exam.
