Matthew Devost is a technologist, entrepreneur, and international security expert specializing in cybersecurity, counterterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, intelligence, and risk management issues. As an entrepreneur, Matt most recently founded the cybersecurity company FusionX which was acquired by Accenture in 2015. Post-acquisition Matt led Accenture,s Global Cyber Defense practice which encompassed over one dozen service areas including red teaming, incident response, & threat hunting. Matt was also the Founder and CEO or the Terrorism Research Center (acquired in 2006) and has held executive or founding roles at iSIGHT Partners (FireEye), iDefense (Verisign), Total Intelligence Solutions, and numerous other companies. Matt is a member of the Black Hat advisory board, was an adjunct computer science professor at Georgetown for 14 years, and was an appointed advisor to the Department of Defense. He is also on the Advisory Board for the D.C.-based non-profit, MissionLink, which has helped over 100 early stage companies identify mission and market requirements, a Mentor at the Virginia cybersecurity accelerator Mach37 and Founding Director of the Cyber Conflict Studies Association.
