Adventures in RAT dev - Hunter Hardman (BSides Augusta 2016) (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

Adventures in RAT dev
Hunter Hardman

"Have you ever wanted to develop your own RAT? ...Where will you start? What language will you use? What features do you want the RAT to have? What OS will you be targeting? This talk is aimed at giving the audience a better understanding of how easy it can be to build your own undetectable RAT. I will discuss the necessary components of any RAT, how I decided to implement them into my own RAT, the pitfalls that I had while writing my own RAT. I will end the presentation by releasing the source code to my RAT."

Hunter Hardman is a security consultant at Mandiant who specializes in penetration testing and red team security assessments.
