And now for something completely different, security at Top O Rock - Tim Sayre SecureWV 2015 (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

And now for something completely different, security at Top O Rock
Tim Sayre

SecureWV 2015

This talk is a record of putting together a surveillance system with Raspberry Pi's.

I started hacking when I was 13 in 1983 when it was a lot harder and not a felony. I was trained in computer repair by the US Army in 1988 on IBM mainframes. I went to Desert Storm from Germany and when I got out of the army, I worked as a carpenter, drove a truck, ran a crane, built transmissions, installed satellite internet, washed cars, and joined a Special Forces unit in the National Guard. I spent 1 1/2 years working as level 2 tech support for Ameriprise Financial, and was system administrator for eight schools in Kanawha county. I co-founded Kanawha IT Security 2 1/2 years ago and am an aspiring security consultant. I have an Associates degree in computer networking, and am almost finished with my Bachelors degree in leadership. I went to Hack3rCon last year and have gotten hooked, attending several conventions in the region.
