A Brief Introduction to Metasploit - Joey Maresca SecureWV/Hack3rcon 2018 (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

A Brief Introduction to Metasploit
Joey Maresca
SecureWV/Hack3rcon 2018

The goal of this class is to get people started and comfortable with working in metasploit, particularly msfconsole and doing basic penetration testing tasks using the tool. We will cover a basic overview of the commands in msfconsole and use several of the built-in tools to perform reconnaissance on a test network and targeting/exploitation of systems on that network. Additional course time will be devoted to looking at some post-exploitation steps and working with one of the more power payloads, meterpreter. This class is designed to last four hours and provide this basic introduction to kickstart anyone's interest in learning more about the tool. While we cannot cover all aspects of the tool in a four hour class, we can lay some of the core foundations that will make it easier for people to continue with other in-depth courses or self-study.

One does not simply write a biography about l0stkn0wledge. He is a life-long hacker and twelve year information security professional who has his own way of viewing the world. He is particularly fond of trying to offer education to those who seek it out and is always willing to share his supposed wisdom wherever he can.
