Abstract:Are randomly generated passwords more resilient to cracking using an extended set of UTF-8 characters from other alphabets? Is it practical to use such passwords with modern software and services?

Bio:Billy Gray specializes in solutions for security-enhanced applications at Zetetic (http://zetetic.net). He helps to maintain auxiliary projects supporting SQLCipher (http://sqlcipher.net), a popular full-database encryption library, and is a core maintainer of STRIP, a secure password management solution. Stephen Lombardo is the founder of Zetetic, as well as the SQLCipher project and STRIP, releasing the first version of STRIP for Palm OS in 1998.
