Can cloud and security be used in the same sentence? - Joshua Bartley
Louisville InfoSec 2013

Can cloud and security be used in the same sentence? In this talk we will discuss the cloud, how you can secure it and what has changed. The enterprise is built with metal, while the cloud is built with software. What does that do to security? Where is your hardware appliances and how do “cloud” them? This talk will provide you with direction and get you up to speed on this industry trend.

Josh started out in IIRC chat rooms and wrote an open source Napster server before getting in trouble with AOL and his high school programming teacher. He then took a detour with networking and placed nationally in BPA for Cisco Networking Systems. After which he decided he would rather be a programmer. Josh now participates in cloud migrations and application development. From migrating an application to the cloud to building new applications to be cloud ready.
