Assessing Mobile Applications with the MobiSec Live Environment - Nathan Sweeney
Louisville InfoSec 2013

The MobiSec Live Environment open source project is a live environment for testing mobile environments, including devices, applications, and supporting infrastructure. MobiSec provides a single environment for both attackers and defenders to leverage the best of all available open source mobile testing tools, as well as the ability to install additional tools and platforms. This presentation will explore the benefits of using MobiSec for mobile testing and outline many of the features and recent updates to the framework. The talk is ideal for penetration testers, as well as defenders and developers who wish to harden their applications earlier in the development process.

Nathan Sweaney is a Senior Security Consultant with Secure Ideas where he specializes in penetration testing, security assessments, architecture reviews, and training. He has been involved with information security for the last decade with the majority of that time specializing in the point-of-sale industry. Nathan has a considerable amount of experience assessing and managing compliance regulations such as PCI. Nathan currently holds the GPEN, GWAPT, and GAWN certifications.
