Carlos will be covering the basics of DNS Reconnaissance using the normal types
of methods used by penetration testers and several new ones not so frequently
use using real world results to show how it is still a very viable way for
enumeration and information gathering using his DNSRecon set of tools. The
presentation will also cover how to parse and use the data generated and why it
is important the management of the information collected.
Iím a Director of Reverse Engineering for a security vendor, I have also worked
as an IT Consultant working for a large IT Integrator in the areas of Security,
Networking and Virtualization where I covered the region of Central America,
Caribbean and Puerto Rico. I used to be a tactical instructor and still train in
areas of interest in that realm. Above all Iím a father , a husband and proud to
be an American. I currently contribute to Open Source Projects like Metasploit
and Backtrack, I love to write code in Python, Ruby, Powershell, T-SQL and Bash.
My main area of interest is post exploitation, and area that I concider that is
lacking in many trainnings and not practice by many pentesters and security
professional, most stop when thet get shell access, I'm a strong beliver that
with shell the fun starts. That is the main reason for the title.
