Python Two birds with one stone - Andy Cooper Derbycon 2019 (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

Python Two birds with one stone
Andy Cooper
Derbycon 2019

By the time DerbyCon is done Python 2 will be down to its last 115 days of support. While it will not magically disappear overnight when January 1st rolls around, as sad as that makes Integgroll, our ability as information security professionals to call out the use of deprecated software will, provided that our tools are using deprecated software. This talk is for anyone who wants to hear some of the ups and downs of Python, laugh at some of the worst things integgroll has done with Python 2 and learn how to help convert the nearly 2700 Python 2 modules in exploitdb to Python 3 as well as add some additional features to make their use a little easier.

Andy is a bowtied hacker who enjoys creating tools in Python 3 to make his life a little more repeatable, making ridiculous devices that serve nearly little purpose or are dangerous then putting them in a hat, and spending entirely too much time at a wood lathe or forge.
