When, not if the Internet goes down, how will you keep in contact with all your homies? During times of political unrest, Countries around the world have already shown they are ready to shut down the Internet and cellular network to attempt to smother opinions different than their own. Amateur radio (Ham Radio) has been sending text messages years before AT&T stole the idea. Packet radio, APRS and e-mail can all be transmitted over amateur radio using simple and inexpensive equipment. Whether it be the next zombie apocalypse or a rogue president, don’t be caught without an effective communication plan.
