In this talk, you’ll learn how the who and why of attribution means little when compared with TTPs in most company’s cyber threat intelligence programs. The focus will be on the different ways organizations can maximize their defensive strategies using information shared by the enemy.

Xena Olsen is a cyber threat intelligence analyst in the financial services industry. She is a graduate of the SANS Women’s Academy with 3 GIAC certifications and a current graduate student seeking an MBA in IT Management. Her current focus is malware analysis and paying it forward through her Women in Information Security Group.

Jared Peck is a threat intelligence analyst in the financial services industry. After some 15 years as a firefighter / paramedic, he turned his computer hobby into a profession. He worked his way from network administrator to being part of a SOC and now he does threat intelligence and attack detection development for a Fortune 500 company.
