My talk will be about how to setup a home lab for beginners getting started in infused all the way up to moderate level practitioners. My talk will briefly cover hardware required to get started and a comparison of several choices of virtualization software. I will also discuss obtaining operating systems (Windows as well as Linux platforms), including useful target systems such as Metasploitable. I will conclude by discussing network attached storage and it,s use in the home lab for more advanced users.

Andrew is an infosec practitioner with over 13 years of IT experience. Andrew is also the founder of the HUNTSEC information security meet up in the Huntsville, AL area.
