There are a few certainties in life, you'll pay taxes and your company will have an incident. Unfortunately many of these incidents are discovered by employees who are not familiar with evidence handling, containment, or escalation. These seemingly small mistakes at the beginning can mean the difference between a successful or inconclusive investigation. In this talk, Vadon is going to go over common mistakes first responders commit during an incident and how you can overcome them.

Bio: Vadon Willis is the Director of Digital Forensic and Incident Response (DFIR) for Parameter Security. As a certified computer forensic investigation, Vadon has focus his expertise on forensic data recovery, digital forensics, eDiscovery and litigation support. He has provided sworn expert testimony as well as provided forensic services on federal and state level cases.Vadon's previous IT experience includes network infrastructure installation and support, network administration; desktop support, client/server technologies, and IT project management. Prior to entering the IT field, Vadon was a Police Officer. His law enforcement experience has given him a unique insight into criminal justice. This insight still serves him today in his forensic investigations.Vadon is a board member of the Saint Louis Professional Investigators Council. He has been interviewed by various media outlets in relation to computer forensic investigations. Vadon also provides instruction and training in the computer forensics field.
