Circles & Boxes - Drawing SecArch into your program
Christopher Robinson
Derbycon 2015

Circles and Boxes. Simple shapes on a page, yet such powerful tools to help describe complex problems. Security Architecture can be the tool in your arsenal that helps you tie together the trench warfare of blue team/ops with the esoteric Ivory tower world of Governance and Compliance. Come listen to a guy that doesn't do anything tell you about how you can listen and learn to tie the frantic and often disconnected world of InfoSec together into a cohesive program.

With over 18 years of Enterprise-class engineering, operational and leadership experience, CRob is the Information Security Architect for the Westfield Group. Previous to Westfield, he was a Senior Technical Account Manager and Team Lead for Red Hat, Inc. He has worked at and with many Fortune 500 companies within the Financial, Medical, Legal, and Manufacturing verticals. He has been a featured speaker at Gartner's Identity and Access Management Summit, RSA, as well as several Tivoli Pulse and Splunk conferences. Much of his career has been spent working with Regulatory & Compliance and helping his customers achieve satisfactory marks for their Audits. Christopher is a CISSP and is the Education Chairman & Officer for Cleveland (ISC)2 Chapter and spends a lot of time speaking to people about mitigating Risk. In addition to his duties at Westfield Group, Mr. Robinson is a frequent guest lecturer in the areas of Information Security and Open Source software at many North Eastern Ohio Universities and Colleges.
