Abstract: Our ears are the original nexus of information security. The environments we're in are constantly streaming valuable information to us. All we have to do is listen properly. "Let he who has ears" and all that. Join me as we explore the fascinating world of audio security. In this talk we'll cover how voice assistants work, what security measure exist, what the attack vectors are, and finally how you can steal someone's voice for fun and profit!

Bio: Wes Widner engineers clouds with Crowdstrike. Large-scale distributed threat intelligence systems that span a range of threat vectors are his bread and butter. His work history includes data engineering with McAfee Labs,s Global Threat Intelligence department and malware pipelining with Norse Corporation. In his ample spare time, Wes also enjoys teaching children how to hack, ethically of course.
