Abstract:The Password Hashing Competition (PHC) is starting! We will present the project and the submissions received from the community earlier this year. All candidate algorithms will be reviewed, and we'll discuss the evaluation criteria that we plan to consider in our selection of finalists, which is planned for Q3 2014. Goals of this talk are to elicit feedback from the community, as well as to encourage research and technical contributions (regarding cracking techniques, server-side implementations, bruteforce implementations, etc.).
