DIY Neuroscience, EMGs, EEGs, and other recordings
meecie
Notacon 10

Synopsis
Are you curious about what makes your body tick, twitch, and think? Did you think that finding out about these things was only possible through the use of insanely expensive medical equipment, or things that would involve blood, needles, or other unpleasantness? In fact, all you need are some basic supplies (and yes, there are DIY kits available) and a little know-how to see for yourself how you're put together. Come learn a bit about why this is possible, and see some demos on some possibilities of what you could hack on your own.

Bio
meecie has a bachelor of science in biophysics, and continues to work in academia. Her geekery takes a decidedly biological twist, and she has a continued fascination with how all the messy bits come together into a wonderfully complex system, especially in the areas of senses and perception. Additional random areas of interest include crafting, sci-fi, and dog sports/training.
