Being a new parent of twins has taught me a great deal
about many new aspects of life. Over the last 11 months,
helping to raise twins has shown many unexpected parallels
to life in Information Security - and many of the lessons from
parenting cross over into the security profession. From
preparedness, to error-handling, issue detection and incident
response - you may be surprised at the number of concepts
that apply to both sides of our lives as parents. In this
session, as a slight departure from the conventional security
conference talk, I’ll lay out some of the wisdom the last 11
months of my twins’ lives has etched into my conscious - and
with a dash of humor I’ll relate it to your day job in enterprise
security.
