Jim Beechey is the Executive Director, Security at Consumers Energy where he leads all aspects of physical and cyber security for the Company. During his 20 year career, Jim has held various technical and leadership positions focusing on IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security. Jim has a Bachelor,s Degree in Computer Science and Business Management from Northwood University and a Master,s of Science in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute. Jim is a regular presenter at security conferences and has served in an advisor/board member for several organizations including Center for Internet Security,s Critical Security Controls. Jim lives in Chelsea with his wife Tammy and four children.
