Violent Ruby: A Talk for Hackers, Forensic Analysts, Penetration Testers and Security Engineers - Kent Gruber Converge 2017 (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

Violent Ruby: A Talk for Hackers, Forensic Analysts, Penetration Testers and Security Engineers
Kent Gruber
@KentGruber

Violent Ruby will demonstrate how to utilize Ruby, a dynamic, reflective, object-oriented, general-purpose programming language from an offensive and defensive perspective. Going off the Rails and directly challenging some of the ideas people may have about Ruby compared directly to Python, we will explore some of the awesome, practical uses with examples of actual working demos of practical tools you can start building yourself. Not just some cute scripts, but awesome command-line applications you have forged yourself and can proudly share with the world to slay or defend networks with. Including examples re-engineered directly from popular Python cookbooks, honeypots and more. Most importantly, you will learn how to implement rainbows into all of your Ruby command-line applications in one line of code.

I'm a creative enthusiast obsessed with cyber security. I hope to be able to leverage my knowledge of cyber security from an attack and defense perspective, programming skills, and perhaps even my design background to provide flexible, elegant solutions to problems wherever they may be.
