The purpose of this session is to highlight many reasons why Ruby is a good language choice to use in security-related tasks. The talk will start off with an overview of the language and it's features that make it a great language to use when writing security tools and finish with a survey of existing security tools/libraries written in ruby.

Bio: Carl Sampson is a Senior Product Security Engineer at Salesforce. His main interests are in web application security through all parts of the SDLC and enterprise application development. Prior to switching over to application security ten years ago he was a developer for ten years prior starting with Windows development and ending with enterprise Java development. He holds several certifications including the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) and GWAPT. He also started the Indianapolis OWASP chapter in 2005 and continues to help lead it.
