Executive - Session #1 - John Landolfi With the wave of data breaches that have occurred in the U.S. recently, now is the time for organizations to evaluate and update their incident response plans. This presentation will provide attendees with lessons learned from recent data breaches and provide an overview of the components of a proactive incident response plan, including: - Identification of types of events - Obligations of vendors - Roles and responsibilities - Specific notice obligations - Post event assessment protocol Attendees will be armed with actionable steps to ensure they are prepared in the event of a breach.

Bio: John is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, a member of the litigation group, and co- leader of the firm's intellectual property litigation subgroup. For nearly 25 years, John has defended and advised national retailers on matters involving unfair and deceptive trade practices, anti-counterfeiting, privacy, advertising, labeling, marketing, sweepstakes and promotions, consumer credit, product recalls, unfair competition, non-competition agreements, and wage and hour class actions throughout the country. He also maintains an active privacy and data security practice, advising companies regarding privacy compliance and technology, including privacy policy creation, behavioral advertising, information sharing, cybersecurity, electronic marketing, social media, compliance with state and federal laws impacting the collection and use of information, compliance with federal consumer protection laws, information and security programs, incident response and data breaches. John is a frequent speaker on various retail topics including privacy, general advertising, promotions, sweepstakes, trade secrets and e-discovery. He has also given presentations on a variety of topics related to privacy and data security to professional associations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel (Central Ohio Chapter). ? He received his J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers and Omicron Delta Kappa. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Westminster College, where he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon.
