Micah Hoffman has been working in the information technology field since 1998. Currently working at Booz Allen Hamilton, Micah is the author of the SANS Institute SEC487: Open-Source Intelligence Gathering and Analysis course and is a SANS Certified Instructor. Micah is a highly active member in the cyber security and OSINT communities. Chris Gates has extensive experience in network and web application penetration testing, Red Teaming and Purple Teaming. Chris is currently learning to be a part time fixer instead of full time breaker. In the past he has spoken at the United States Military Academy, BlackHat, DefCon, Toorcon, Brucon, Troopers, SOURCE Boston, Derbycon, LasCon, HashDays, HackCon, Bsides ATL, IT Defense, OWASP AppSec DC, and Devops Days. Chris is also a co-founder of NoVAHackers.

John has a background as a legal researcher and investigator, having entered the information security space about 5 years ago. In this field he has worked in diverse positions including conducting vulnerability assessments of small/medium sized businesses, worked as an analyst in an MSS SOC with hundreds of enterprise clients, and as a technical CTI analyst examining malware and tracking threats.

Kirby Plessas is founder and CEO of Plessas Experts Network, Inc. (PEN), an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) internet technology and information extraction company specializing on training, researching, and consulting to meet the unique needs of diverse government and private-sector organizations. Before devoting her work full time to Plessas Experts Network, Inc., Kirby established herself as one of the foremost tradecraft experts in OSINT through successful careers both as a member of the U.S. Military and as a government contractor.

Ms. Hurley, a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Management and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She brings over 17 years of combined experience in Cyber Security. In addition to teaching digital forensics at SANS and co-authoring the FOR500 Windows Forensic Analysis course, Ovie is the Director of the Cybercrime Lab of the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) at the Department of Justice (DOJ). He also teaches two classes as an adjunct professor at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Prior to joining the DOJ, Ovie was a Special Agent in Charge overseeing the Technical Crimes Unit of the Postal Inspector General's Office, where he was responsible for all computer intrusion investigations within the postal service network infrastructure and for providing all digital forensic analysis in support of criminal investigations and audits. He also served as a special agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, investigating computer intrusions and working both general crimes and counterintelligence as well as conducting investigations into offenses including murder, rape, fraud, bribery, theft, and gangs and narcotics. Computers are front and center in Ovie's free time as well, but he also enjoys plenty of offline activities, including public speaking, scuba diving, travel, and meeting new people.

Sarah is an senior digital forensic analyst who has worked with various federal law enforcement agencies. She has performed a variety of investigations including computer intrusions, criminal, counter‐intelligence, counter-narcotic, and counter‐terrorism. Sarah's research and analytical interests include Mac forensics, mobile device forensics, digital profiling and malware reverse engineering. Sarah has presented at many industry conferences including; Shmoocon, Bsides*, DEF CON and the SANS DFIR Summit. Sarah is the author of the SANS Mac Forensic Analysis Course - FOR518. She has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters in Information Assurance from Capitol College.

Tigran (th3CyF0x) is a Senior Analyst at Accenture Federal Services. With 5 years of experience in a variety of areas ranging from Compliance to Threat Hunting and Red Team Operations, he is passionate about areas like Social Engineering and Physical pentesting. He believes that all infosec professionals should act as mentors in some capacity as a way to give back to the community. When he is not in front of the computer, Tigran enjoys Krav Maga, playing tennis, soccer, traveling, meeting new people and learning new languages.

A senior security systems engineer with 25+ years’ experience currently employed at a fortune sixty company in the Washington DC area. He is responsible for world-wide evaluation, certification and integrity testing of a variety of current and emerging technologies, network architectures, and devices. He likes to monitor major trade shows like the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. But, not like most individuals looking for the cool factor or next generation technology. He is more into the train-wreck factor as new technology seems to be developed and deployed with some of the existing vulnerabilities, bugs, and issues of today. Some of these issues dating back more than twenty years. When not stifled by his company’s legal team he has been permitted to speak on certain subjects to the security community to identify issues as he sees them in technology. He is also an active member of the Northern Virginia Hackers association (NoVaH) in good standing. NoVaH is a collective of security professionals, authors, makers, and tool developers.
