I have over 20 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, with over 15 of those years in various management and leadership roles. I have chaired various cybersecurity boards and councils and volunteer my time to help educate students, parents, teachers and seniors on how to be safe online. I am the current President of the (ISC)² chapter in Northern Virginia.

Kathleen Smith is the CMO of ClearedJobs.Net & CyberSecJobs.Com. ClearedJobs.Net is a veteran owned company focused on providing support to cleared facilities employers in the defense and intelligence communities. We support professionals with security clearances find their next opportunity by providing career support that is geared toward individuals with security clearances.

I stepped into recruiting accidentally and haven’t looked back. I’ve been a nerd herder for quite some building tech teams at a variety of companies. The best part of my job is learning something new from a candidate. At this point, I should have accumulated enough random factoids to compete professionally in bar trivia nights. Favorite drink: Bourbon. Favorite band: Placebo. Favorite saying: help me, help you.

Ms. Suzie Grieco transitioned from a career in sales and marketing for a national media organization to become a top recruiter for a local technology staffing agency supporting commercial organizations in the financial and telecommunication industries as well as government agencies. After nearly five years of learning about and truly loving the recruiting discipline, which she considers to be the intersection of Marketing and Human Capital, she researched executive search and corporate recruiting firms to identify a new challenge. Following extensive number of informational interviews she opted to join Booz Allen Hamilton as a corporate recruiter supporting their Organization and Strategy team where she developed and implemented talent acquisition initiatives to identify, screen and recruit hard-to-find candidates who were fully-cleared MBAs. While working closely with her internal clients, she discovered the unique challenges facing government recruiting and joined Booz Allen's Human Capital consulting team and served as the technical recruiting practice lead as well as the project manager for a $20 million, multi-year recruiting-based contract for NAVSEA, the largest civilian defense agency. Following a short sabbatical, she returned to the workforce by starting her own recruiting firm, SG2 Recruiting. Ms. Grieco has a BS degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Marketing from George Washington University. She resides in Great Falls, VA with her husband and four children.

Kirsten is the Director of Recruiting at Novetta, an advanced analytics and cyber security company. She studied HR Management at University of Maryland. After a short while working as a software developer, then help desk manager, she combined her love for technology and HR by becoming a Technical Recruiter and has been doing so for over 20 years. For the last decade, Kirsten has been primarily supporting the Information Security field, and is best known in the community for her involvement in the Car Hacking Village!

Karen Stieg is a Principal/Director at Booz Allen Hamilton where she serves as the Cyber Functional Talent Lead. Karen is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of cyber talent and employee engagement programs across the firm. She pioneers new and disruptive talent and recruiting approaches to advance cyber talent lifecycle management, ensuring Booz Allen has the programs to attract, develop and retain this critical talent. Prior to this role, Karen held various recruiting and talent roles within the firm. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maryland College Park.
